Are you tired of dreaming of growing a garden and you're ready to actually HAVE one?

Do you long to harvest your own fresh fruit & vegetables that you see others growing?

Do you fear jumping into gardening because you don't want to start another project you aren't sure you can finish?

Can you imagine six months from now harvesting your own fruits & vegetables and feeling like you finally achieved your dream?

Jill McSheehy - The Beginner's Garden

Hi, I'm Jill and I grow and harvest more than half of the fruits, vegetables, and herbs that my family of four eats all year.

But it wasn't always that way.

Six years ago I planted my very first garden with no experience or know-how. I read every gardening book I could find.

The fall before my first year, I even prepared the garden area. I was ready.

But spring came along and I soon discovered my garden plot was at one of the lowest parts of the yard. Because of the lack of drainage there, nothing grew.

It would have been so easy to give up.

But my husband took pity on me and helped me find a more suitable place to replant, and my first garden was born.

The success I saw that first year gave me the energy to keep going, keep learning, and adjust after failures.

Each year has gotten better and better.

I now grow all of our own tomatoes, beans, peppers, peas, corn, blueberries, herbs and more to last all year plus many other fruits and vegetables we eat seasonally.

Imagine if:

...you could grow many of your favorite vegetables fresh, like tomatoes or zucchini

...you saw your grocery bill decrease month after month because of the food you grew yourself

...your friends started asking you for gardening advice because they saw your success

Gardener Planting Beets

All of this and more can be your reality -- just as it is mine.

But I don't want you to have to spend hours of research like I did.

I don't want you to experience a devastating setback with your first attempt because you don't know what you don't know.

I don't want you to attempt something so important to you with no one-on-one guidance.

This is why I created a step-by-step plan to help beginning gardeners like you plan, plant, and grow your own successful garden.

Hear what other beginning gardeners had to say about the coaching call:

From Katy, 2nd-Year Gardener in Maine:

"Jill was able to listen to my challenges from my first year of gardening and instantly identified my over abundance of nitrogen. She was able to give me great ideas about how to amend this year to not have too much foliage and not enough fruit. By the end of our hour long call I was able to really see this year coming together.

Her knowledge is extensive. When I am learning from someone I truly appreciate them having the ability to admit they don't know everything. My zone is drastically different from Jill's, so when my questions started getting really specific to my region, she quickly was able to point me in the direction of a book written by a gardener in my state, this is the sign of a true expert in my book."

From Tiffany, 1st-Year Gardener in California:

"Jill's coaching call was exactly what I needed to kickstart my first vegetable garden. I’ve been wanting to start a garden for a while, but felt overwhelmed by not knowing how to get started and also discouraged by my limited space.

Jill took the time to talk through my specific garden goals and shared personalized resources like websites, podcasts and books to support those goals. She provided a safe space to ask questions that felt silly or basic and sincerely wanted to help by meeting me right where I’m at in the process. I look forward to the journey ahead!"

Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly IS an online course? In an online course, you are taught via recorded video (or written lessons, depending on your preference) just like you would be taught in a formal setting. But you can do it at your own pace.

When does the course start and finish? You will have access to the updated course immediately. It is a self-paced online course - you decide when you start and when you finish.

How long do I have access to the course? After enrolling, you have unlimited access to this course through December 31, 2019 - across any and all devices you own.

What if, after purchasing, I decide this course is not for me? My goal is to help you plan and grow your own garden. If you decide this course doesn't meet your expectations, contact me in the first 30 days and I will give you a full refund.

Is this course just for those who have or want large gardens? Not at all! In fact, my course content will cater more to those with less than 500 square feet of garden space, though those with larger gardens will certainly benefit as well.

I'm worried I won't have time to complete the course AND grow my garden. When you start your planning early, and when you follow my process, you'll find yourself using the time you do have more efficiently. As long as you can spare at least a half hour per week and can grow at least a 4' x 8' space, the Beginner's Garden Shortcut will help you plant, grow, and maintain a garden even if you're managing a busy schedule!

I'm not sure if I can afford it. I get that. I started my first garden primarily to save money. But I can tell you, I spent money I shouldn't have, simply because I didn't know how to grow a garden in the most frugal manner. I have purposefully kept the cost of this course low (most online courses cost $100 at the minimum) so gardeners like you and I could afford it. I am confident that between the content in the course and my advice within the Facebook group, you will save more money than this course costs by following my frugal way of gardening.

Can't I learn how to garden on my own? Yes, you can, just like I did. BUT, by following my process, you'll literally shortcut yourself many steps and save yourself hours of research. Plus, you'll avoid well-meaning but wrong gardening advice available on the Internet.

Will this course apply to me if I live in a different location than you? The biggest strength of my course — and the largest emphasis — is in the planning and preparing, which will apply to every gardener, everywhere. Also, information on plant requirements, plant spacing, and growing techniques — will also apply almost universally. The only areas where you may have to adjust is when I talk about plants that thrive in my location (or not) depending on their growing requirements. The other elements, like mulch, tomato pruning, and irrigation should apply to everyone as well, as will the how-to videos.

Gardening has changed my life. And I can't wait to share in your garden journey. I'm looking forward to meeting you, walking beside you, and watching your garden grow!
